Take a Bite Out of Winter Park
Once again, it is time for the best foodie event in Central Florida. Make plans now to attend the 30th Annual Taste of Winter Park, presented by CenturyLink, on April 15 at 5:00 p.m. at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market.
Come sample cuisine from over 40 award-winning restaurants, caterers, bakeries and specialty shops from Winter Park and throughout Greater Orlando. This year, participants include 4 Rivers Smokehouse, Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine, Brio, Bungalow 23 Culinary Cocktail Mixers, Carmel Kitchen, Cocina 214, Hamilton’s Kitchen, Lombardi’s Seafood, Mi Tomatina, Miller’s Ale House, Nelore Brazilian Steakhouse, Orchid Thai Cuisine, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Peterbrooke Chocolatier, Pi Hole Pizza, Shake Shack, The Porch and many more.
You’ll also enjoy the smooth sound of saxophonist Johnny Mag Sax. The combination of great music, amazing food and good drinks in a wonderful venue makes this an event you don’t want to miss.
We are thrilled to have CenturyLink on board as our presenting sponsor of this great affair. Their commitment to Winter Park and their dedication to community organizations are greatly appreciated.  Special thanks also go to Whole Foods Market, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, Massey Communications and Winter Park Village for their support.
You don’t want to miss this epicurean indulgence. All-inclusive tickets are $40 for Winter Park Chamber of Commerce members in advance, $45 for non-members and $45 for everyone at the door.  To order your tickets now, call or purchase online at www.winterpark.org.
See you at the Taste of Winter Park!

Share Who You Love
Our chamber knows the importance of shopping local, which is why we believe one of the best things members of our chamber and community can do is give testimonials on businesses that have provided exceptional services. Whether you’re at one of our many networking events, speaking to someone one on one, or even nominating them for an Ovation Award, make sure to recognize good businesses. Our community is rapidly growing, and we want to support as many businesses as possible. So far this year, our chamber has had a ribbon cutting nearly every week. That’s exciting, and we want to make sure that people check those businesses out and use them.
The winners of our Ovations Awards will be announced at the award ceremony on Thursday, April 30. Any business that is nominated for an award will be invited to set up a free promotional table and show off why they were nominated. Ceremony attendees will also be able to sample the goods from all of those businesses so please come out and join us.
The Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce and Helpful Hands Inc. are now gearing up for the 3rd annual Central Florida’s BBQ Blowout. This event is sanctioned by the Florida Bar-B-Que Association and is presented by Sonny’s BBQ. It will feature professional and amateur BBQ grill masters, local businesses, craft brews, live music, kid’s activities and more. If your business is interested in sponsoring this event, or in having vendor space, please contact us today.

A Sporting Chamber
Break out your golf clubs and network on the green at the East Orlando Chamber’s 31st Annual Golf Tournament. We’ve moved our fun, signature golf outing to the spring to avoid most of the hot, sweltering summer heat and September rains. This Kentucky Derby themed tournament supports one of East Orange County’s local charities, Friends of Children and Families. We are driving the greens on Friday, May 1 at 8 a.m. The field is limited to 100 golfers, so register your foursome today! To register, sponsor, or for more details, visit www.EOCC.org and stay tuned for the Pre-tournament Afterhours on Thursday, April 30.
After the golf tournament champions are crowned, this year’s Vision Event focuses on other Central Florida sports. Currently, there are many great things happening regarding sports in our area. There is much excitement surrounding all the happenings of Orlando City Soccer, the Citrus Bowl, Orlando Magic, University of Central Florida, and the U.S. Tennis Association, but are you aware of all the partnerships and contributions these organizations have made to our local communities? Join us on Wednesday, May 20 at 5 p.m. for “Sports in East Orlando,” an evening of networking and a panel discussion from leaders of these prominent organizations. Contact the chamber for more information, event registration, sponsorship opportunities, and program advertising opportunities.

The Value in Investing in Membership
Congratulations to The Body Club and Dewey's Indoor Golf and Sports Grill on their 1st anniversary celebrations, Tres Chic Designer Boutique on its recent grand opening, and Suzi Karr Realty for receiving the coveted “We Noticed” Award. These celebrations, facilitated by our ambassadors, our official goodwill hosts, are just a handful of ways that our member businesses utilize our services to prosper and grow their businesses. These services work well for storefront-type businesses, yet there are many other services that the chamber offers that benefit home-based businesses, corporate offices, manufacturers and others. There are numerous opportunities to build relationships and to learn about the latest trends to improve products and services, with an ultimate goal of improving the bottom line. To view all the valuable opportunities that are available to our 1,000+ members, and to learn how you too can take advantage, visit wochamber.com.
